About Our Firm
Leonard A. “Smokey” Brown, Jr. grew up in Irmo and is proud to call this community his home. He graduated from Irmo High School in 1987 and went on to attend Presbyterian College where he graduated in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in History.

Following graduation, Smokey spent time working with his father in insurance before attending law school at the University of South Carolina where he graduated in 1997. His work in law started at the Welch Law Firm in Greenwood, South Carolina where he worked until 2001. His time at the Welch Firm consisted of working with both civil and criminal cases including prosecuting for the City of Greenwood. He also worked with clients on their estate planning needs.
Smokey founded the Law Office of Smokey Brown, PC, in May of 2001. His vision was to provide a practice that focused on basic legal needs of the community. Clients can appreciate his commitment to his home community of Irmo where he is proud to offer unparalleled legal service.
Smokey is married and the proud father of two children. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, reading, building Lego sets and following his favorite team, the Boston Celtics.
Kimberly D. Lowman – Senior Paralegal

Kim’s ten-plus years of experience allows her to build effective client relationships and provide the best possible legal services. Multi-talented with skills beneficial to a law firm, Kim’s duties include meeting with clients to complete estate planning, working with our affiliated title insurance companies and coordinating real estate closings with realtors, lenders, buyers and sellers.
She graduated from Ashworth University, Delta Epsilon Tau, with a paralegal degree in 2009, while employed with The Law Office of Smokey Brown, PC. Prior to her employment at the firm, she taught pre-school for 13 years.
Formerly a resident of Fallon, Nevada, among other places while growing up in a military family, Kim has resided in the Irmo area for 22 years. Kim is married and her hobbies include reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
Camille H. Howle - Paralegal

Camille has 22 years’ experience in the paralegal field having worked with Attorneys specializing in Family Court, Personal Injury, Bankruptcy, Estate Planning and Probate and has worked in Real Estate since 2001, working in both Georgia and South Carolina. Prior to working as a paralegal, she worked as a Social Worker for children’s advocacy. Camille’s experience and attention to detail, allows her to give excellent customer service to our clients, realtors and lenders.
Camille graduated from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Arts in English before attending the National Center for Paralegal Training in Atlanta, Georgia.
Camille is married with two adult children and her hobbies include reading, spending time with family and friends and cheering for all things Gamecock, especially Women’s Basketball.
Pamela M. Faulkner (Pam) - Administrative Assistant

Pam joined our team as a part time employee after a 40+ year career in the corporate world of supplemental insurance. After a short four-month retirement, her loving husband ‘strongly’ encouraged her to look for a new adventure which she found with The Law Office of Smokey Brown.
Pam grew up in the Chapin area and then moved to Irmo with her husband. She has two adult daughters and four adorable grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading, spending time with family and friends and hopes to do more traveling.
